Squishmallow cows

Do you collect according to themes? For example: Do you collect individual colours (pink, fantasy colours, sparkly or iridescent, natural colours, colours that match your decor)? Or do you collect characters (bigfoot, cows, sea creatures)? Or sizes (huge, teensy)? Or textures (non-printed fabric, fuzzy bellies)? Holiday themes? All of a particular squad? Rare squishes? Or something else?
Do you care if new arrivals fit in with the rest of your collection? Does everything have to fit a theme? Do you have several themes or maybe none at all and just pick what you like?
I have a small collection and so far I've gone for fantasy colours, pastel colours, sparkly or iridescent fabrics, rainbows, colour gradations and bright colours and I like the way they all look together. I also like squishmallows that don't fit this theme but for right now it makes me happy to pick colours that (I think) go together, and that I find cheerful and comforting!

I can't believe some of the discourse I've seen in this sub surrounding this topic.
If you are unfamiliar with what I'm referring to, its about the fruit bats. A user on this sub made a post about how a custom creator had their design "stolen" by KT and those designs were turned into squishmallows. The design in question was a bat that was combined with a piece of fruit to make a "fruit bat". Apparently this squishmallow artist is the only person who can combine the two and take credit for it, even if a bat squishmallow and a fruit squishmallow already existed. This is no where near an original idea. I saw threads in the comments of this post saying that a "strawberry cow" was a stolen idea, the banana Junie was a stolen idea, a chocolate covered strawberry was a stolen idea, and even making a sort of "frankenstien" plush by combing two squishes with a stitch down the middle was a stolen idea.
Do you all seriously believe that these should be copyrighted concepts that belong solely to the artist who came up with them? That would be 0 of the people who drew or sewed those concepts then. They don't own squishmallow and they dont own fruits, animals, or frankenstiens monster. There are millions of people on the planet and there will always be overlap in art. Art will always be derivative.
"Copycat culture" is incredibly rampant in just about every single community. Anyone will jump up and say that their work or someone else's work is being copied, even if its not something that is inherently original. I want to share this really great video by Jaime French where she talks about what copycat culture is and why its harmful to creativity.

I'd also like to highlight this video by a user called Royalty Soaps. She is an artisan soap maker and uploaded this video a while ago where she talks about how three people from across the country submitted pretty much the exact same design to her as the one that she came up with on her own. Its a really great video and the beginning shows us that art and creativity are always derivative.

tldr: stop saying people are having their very basic designs stolen, art is derivative.

I have over 400 squishmallows which are taking up the entirety of my upstairs. My bf has been very kind in allowing my obsession to take up space in our home but I'm realizing that I can't keep holding onto so many when I keep buying more.
My top collections would be the Cows, Axolotls, Frogs, Mushrooms, Lambs, Big foots, and Bunnies so I'm not getting rid of those but the rest is hard to part with because I do like them.
How do I began the process of downsizing?

It just seems like squishmallows pushes out so many new designs or reused/reimagined old designs too quickly nowadays. I can't keep up anymore with what's new and "hip." At this point I'm not even looking forward to seeing them in the aisles anymore since in a week they'll be "old news" and some new cow or vegetable or fruit will be the new big thing.
