2023.06.07 01:42 TrippingBaal Relabeled discussion: why does the steam deck platform update titles 10x more frequently than Windows PC or Xbox?

I've relabeled this discussion because the initial post got a bunch of troll replies, failing to understand the question. Why does Steam deck update titles 3-4 times a day? Titles like Skyrim, that haven't had any actual patches in many years... They're only 20-30 MB each, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind them, other than that I simply turned the deck on. Wtf is it updating? Why? Seems absolutely ridiculous that multiple titles update themselves every single time the device is turned on.

Just recently got a steam deck. I saw in a post some people are enjoying playing crpgs on it. Which games in the genre run and control best on the deck?

2023.06.07 01:31 Nevoy_92 Book of Sayings - First Contact Anthology

This is a shout out to everyone who enjoys and has followed u/ralts_bloodthrone with First Contact. The author and users own all associated works.
I have gone through the first 50 chapters and picked user comments that fit with the flow of the narrative and were posted within the time frame of the original post. Effectively I am creating a Book of Sayings and "History" taken from the perspective of the people throughout the Journey/ u/ralts_bloodthrone if you find it fits into the narrative of chapters 960+ feel free to use!
I have included, to the best to my ability, the user who posted the comment and the associated chapter it was pulled from. Additionally I have juggled with the order to make a better fitting Narrative. I plan on compiling similar books/chapters for various story arcs and significant characters individually.
***I'm reposting since my last edit resulted in loosing all the contact and getting it removed. Hopefully it works now!***
\---------------------------------------------------------
It was unknown who compiled the first thoughts, who began writing the Book of Sayings. What is known is that it captured the words of the Mad Ones, of the Terrors, of their Enemies and Friends. Some of what has been recorded is pure nonsense and unbelievable, yet there it is repeated with consistency with such belief there must be some truth to it. Otherwise the whole of the universe must have been absolutely Mad... - Preface of Chapter of Opening - Book of Sayings Unknown Historian
Terrans- Terrors- The Mad Lemurs
  1. "The Terrans are riled up."
------NOTHING FOLLOWS----------
u/Mr-Sphene ch 13
2.The terrans of the future will never, ever confirm or deny which of the rumors and stories about Terra's past are actually true.
u/Admiral_Dermond ch 52
3. A happy human is one that is sitting on its butt, eating donuts and boogers. An unhappy human will quickly, effectively, and efficiently destroy whatever is making it unhappy, so that it may return to sitting on its butt, eating donuts and boogers.
u/Khenal ch 32
4. So not only did the Mantids destroy Earth, but they made every human experience the destruction first-hand and gloated?
Yeah. Fuck those guys.
u/CaptainChewbacca
5. That's when they made the biggest mistake of their ugly lives.
u/5thhorseman_ ch 24
6. Hurr Durr I'm a human! I get a hard on from war and people just love to pick fights with me!
u/Mr_Sphene ch 31
The Calls of Kitty
  1. Kittykitty doesnโ€™t care about your physics.
Kittykitty gonna mewmew
Kittykitty purrpurr.
u/tgerfoxmark ch 21
2. Kittykitty does what needs doing, screaming through the dark night, finally able to rest after alerting the bigs. Kittykitty does not go quietly into the night.
u/tgerfoxmark ch 25
3. Rest easy sweet little kittykitty.
You've been through hell, but you got the message through.
And now the biggest baddest doggos in Creation are going to find out who hurt you ... and make them PAY.
u/ack1308 ch 25
4. For whom the bell tolls, time meows on.
u/Archaic_1 ch 25
5. DAXIN CALLS. WE MUST ANSWER
u/imbignate ch 13
6. A very good summery of Daxin appears to be, "Doom Marine after victory just wanting to go somewhere quiet and enjoy time with dog."
Shame the Universe says no.
u/GasmaskBroch 24
7. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH WE FOUND SOMETHING TO KILL, WE FOUND A FIGHT COME BROTHERS THEIR IS BLOOD TO SPILL!
u/NorthScorpion ch 15
IDIOTS
  1. hearts streaming out of cartoon kitten emoji eyes and popping like fireworks poop emoji poop emoji poop emoji
-------NOTHING FOLLOWS---------
u/chicagobob ch 31
2. I'm betting that Admiral still thinks the Idiot Troops are the best of us. Damaged, horribly in ways that no longer make sense, but still willing to fight to protect. Even their last effort to cripple the planet being noteworthy. I wonder if the Clones would help rebuild them...
u/Honjin ch 22
3. So, it seems that the Idiots can be idiots too.
"It's not canon so we won't do it."
"If you don't do it you'll die."
"That doesn't follow."
DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA
"Told you. Damn it."
u/ack1308 ch 60
4. THERE IS ONLY ENOUGH FOR ONE, a titan screams to the void.
There is enough for all but you, another responds.
u/MilesKalashnikov ch 20
5. Then the Leviathan machine tries to butt in: "THERE CAN ONLY BE..." "SHUT UP!" the Idiots reply in unison.
u/carthienes ch 24
6. THAN YOU SHALL DIE ALONE
u/ChangoGringo ch 20
7. TREMBLE, FOR CHAOS COMES

8. OUR WARCRY IS MOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!! CODE FOR THE CODE GOD! CAFFEINE FOR THE CAFFEINE THRONE! HAIL PSYCHOSYSADMIN!
u/Speciesunkn0wn ch 26
9. (whispers) They've been on board now. Those Precursor ships will never be free of the echoes of dakka and doki.
u/Fontaigne ch 22
10. Over here... Turn around... Anytime...
u/FaceDesk4Life ch 23
Genesis of AI
  1. Raw, unadulterated passion as a targeting system, glee and dancing for evasive manoeuvres, and joy as the destruction of evil. It intimidates the faint of heart like Delminta, but for those born to kill like the V.I. and bound to die like Ementeeri, it encompasses their whole life.
I love it.
I love that this sapient in the twilight of her life can embrace the same kind of freedom and destructive glee a minutes old missile targeting system can, because they're emotional beings liberated by high technology. I love that the psychic powers and hell dimension just fit into this universe because the story equates firepower with emotional turmoil and trauma technology with emotional support animals.
It extends and exaggerates humanity beyond its limits, whilst still remaining recognisable, and that's fantastic.
u/ModasOrnery ch 27
2. it's a beautiful orchestra of computers, machinery, electronic & explosions
u/Feuershark ch 27
3. Humanity didn't solve the homicidal ai problem, just scared the piss out of him.
u/ms4720 ch 52
4. BOLOS FIGHT TILL THEY ARE SLAG AND EVEN THEN THEIR SPIRIT LIVES ON
u/doggosramzing ch 27
The Warriors
  1. Stand beside me you are my brother. Stand behind me and you are protected. Stand before me and you are doomed.

2023.06.07 01:21 gbayfan92 What are your favorite playstyles?

I saw a post on EDH that asked the community what there favorite playstyle and decks were and I was really curious about the same thing in Marvel Snap. What's are the communities favorite decks and play styles?
I personally love Hela Discard, getting the perfect line and putting 70 power on the board with a Hela makes my dopamine kick in! Made it to infinite twice with the deck and trying for my third.

2023.06.07 01:04 kloud29 New to FaB booster box recommendations

I have recently gotten myself into FaB and was given numerous cards from other players. Because of where I work I get a fairly generous discount on booster boxes and want to buy my first one to have fun cracking packs. Being new I have three blitz decks and an assortment of commons. What would be a good booster box to start with as I was thinking either uprising or dynasty. Other posts were a little out dated so sorry if this is unnecessary.

2023.06.07 01:04 Tdog754 What do you think about R-ACEโ€™s potential in the TCG?

Rescue-ACE is doing alright in the OCG and is currently very cheap in the TCG, potentially another Purrely situation where grabbing a bad deck and waiting for its support is a good decision.
The support in DUNE will be much of what the deck needs, however obviously the metas of the two formats are hard to compare because of the banlist differences. Iโ€™m wondering what everyone thinks of the place R-ACE might have in the TCG post-DUNE considering the differences the lists have, such as our Spright builds being relatively untouched.
Also wondering if Konamiโ€™s recent hits to SHS/Purrely make anyone more hesitant to invest in cheap competitive(?) decks, as Konami seems to be willing to hit those more aggressively. Not that R-ACE would be at Purrely or SHSโ€™s level and get those hits, but itโ€™s possible if it overperforms.

2023.06.07 01:02 freakazoid810 Had some termite Inspections done; is it normal to not be offered preventative treatments (like liquid trenching)?

I posted a few days back; I had a lot of swarmers show up outside. Not unusual, but a lot of them seemed concentrated around the backyard deck, near an above ground basement wall. It's finished on the inside, but I pulled back some loose carpet at that wall, and saw a pale yellow bug that disappeared before I could tell what it was. Also saw a small crack on the concrete floor a few feet away that extends to the wall.
So I called a couple places for an inspection to get some peace of mind. They did their free inspections, but were extremely basic (mostly quick look around). Both confirmed, that as far as they can tell, no indication of termites in my home and unlikely.
To get a "professional" inspection with either company, they want me on a yearly contract. This includes monitoring stations. No actual preventative treatment unless something is found. I'm fine with paying for the inspection, but was hoping for a more proactive prevention... like a liquid trench treatment. Both companies told me these treatments are only applied if termite activity is actually found in/near my house. And even then, usually ONLY on the area where they find the activity, not the whole perimeter.
Is this normal? Was I wrong in asking for perimeter trenching? Should I call around for more opinions/inspections?

2023.06.07 01:00 meezajangles .. is there an oil tanker sinking between new Brighton and north van?

Weird post I know, but there appears to be a large SEASPAN tanker (ship? boat?) thatโ€™s very submerged and lopsided in the inlet, with 4 tugboats circling it / pushing it, preventing it from moving. I know all tankers going to the refinery need tugs to accompany them, but this one has been in the same spot for an hour now, and appears very low to the water (the rear deck is now at water level).. anyone know whatโ€™s up?

2023.06.07 01:00 RajesAnu78 What games represent your happy place?

In this age filled with chaos and uncertainty, stress has become an integral part of everyoneโ€™s lives. Thatโ€™s why having a safe, happy place is so important - and luckily for us, so many games are designed to be just that.
They donโ€™t have to belong to any specific genre - some people will feel the coziest playing horror games (and I pity their therapists), some may prefer a game like Stardew Valley, some may fall prey to the hype and nolife the new big AAA title until a newer one comes out, and some may chase that burst of nostalgia reliving the moment they had 20 years ago playing War3 TFT DDay all summer break. But no matter whatโ€™s our chosen category, we all have the games that represent our happy place.
The game that represents my happy place is Last Epoch. Itโ€™s been my absolute favorite since the day I bought it, and Iโ€™m still enjoying every moment I put into the game. The reason I feel so cozy playing the game is that it reminds me of my favorite high school games - Titan Quest and Diablo - and incentivizes strong nostalgic feelings in me. Combine that with amazing in-game mechanisms, and voila, there's a pleasure cocktail in your PC ready to be sipped whenever you feel like it... or downed, if you're thirsty enough.
Then again, this post wouldn't be complete without mentioning Heroes of Might and Magic 3. God, is that one an all-time great...
My childhood buddy and I still have the "tradition" based around HoMM3 for whenever we have a couple of days free. We usually come to my place, order the largest pizza on the menu, buy a case of beer, and play a 2v6 HoMM3 game on a 252x252 map. I'm always THE necro because I just love farming skeletons from lvl 1 all the way until I have too many to count, and he plays Stronghold because he loves to rush one of the bots early, take their castle and double his economic growth. The sessions usually last for as long as we can keep playing, and during them, we're both in our happy place away from real-life issues.
In any case, I feel like I overstayed my welcome here so I'll have to wrap it up. What are the games that represent your happy place, and why? Let's share recommendations and experiences with other fellow gamers

2023.06.07 00:56 HonestRole2866 New Default Configurations?

New Default Configurations?
It occurred to me that where a quick-start set for Titanomachina might succeed best would be where the first couple of configurations are both simple weapon swaps, and simply the Titans swapping those sets of weapons. This also frees up cards in a 55(!) card deck to be used for something else if six weapon cards can be shared between two Titans with two dashboard cards each. Also, I really like how these configurations look!

Hey everyone! So I have been playing MTG and EDH for ages. But I havenโ€™t every ask d for opinions or advice on a deck before. I thought it would be fun to post a video here, and see what everyone thinks!
For my birthday, my fiancรฉe got me the Secret Laur fouls based on the Dungeons and Dragons movie. And I decided to build a deck around Forge.
The key wincons are [[Tergrid, God of Fright]], [[Revel in Riches]], and [[Gisa, Glorious Resurrector]].
Soโ€ฆ tell me what you think! This is a budget build.

2023.06.07 00:11 ulfr Hers is the one that says Bad B*tch on it

My friend and I (34M) had been planning on a pool day, and today wound up happening to be that day. It's worth noting that both my friend (~30s F) and her daughter (5F) have Type 1 Diabetes. They manage their condition with a device called a PDA, (Personal Diabetic Assistant) and some patches that get applied to their skin that are evidently waterproof. This device happens to look exactly like a phone, but doesn't do much other than monitor blood sugar levels and alert the user if they need something more than the insulin in the patch. This takes the form of either something that looks like a candy, or a juice box.
Other thing to notice is, my friend works in the adult entertainment industry and is both very, very comfortable in her own skin and has been fresh out of fluffs to give since she was about 18 years old. Not to say she acts or dresses immodestly (especially around her daughter), just that she appreciates being appreciated and looks amazing in a bathing suit. As for the fresh out of fluffs? Well, you'll see.
My gym, for obvious reasons, has a rule about no recording devices of any kind being used in the locker rooms or pool areas. That's not to say there's a no cell phone rule, because there isn't. It'd be both unenforceable and impractical. You can have your phone, but you'll be escorted off the premises if you're caught taking pictures of people or recording video. There's also a rule about no outside food being brought in, as they've got a restaurant/cafe inside and frown upon people bringing their own lunches in. Happily enough, there's an exception for diabetics and other such medical conditions, because that's kind of federal law that such things must be allowed.
So, my friend and I arrive, and we post up on a pair of deck chairs. One of us keeps an eye on the tot, and today it's mostly me since she enjoys the sensation of being cooked by the sun slowly and I have trouble sitting still. After a little while, my friend flags us down, as the little one needs a juice box.
Me, being a mature and responsible adult, naturally stole said juice box and tried to do a runner. The little girl squeals and says something like, "HEY! That's MY juice box! You give it back!" and me doing my best greased up deaf guy voice from Family Guy reply, "You're never gonna catch me!" and there's a little bit of a spectacle as she chases me down.
Finally I let her catch me and return the juice box, and we both walk back over to where my friend has been keeping an eye on us. She moves her enormous sunglasses down to the tip of her nose and gives me an eye roll, and asks, "Did I bring one child in here? Or two?"
I plead the fifth, and have a sit and chat while the little one slurps down her juice box. My friend then whips out her daughter's PDA, which has a hot pink case on it with a label on it that says, "Little B." This is to differentiate it from my friends, which also has a hot pink case on it that says "Bad Bitch" on it. (It used to say Little Bitch, but that was frowned upon when she had to give it to the teacher for Kindergarten, so Little B. it was.)
We chill until the device has been appeased, and then I take the little one off for some more trips down the water slide while my friend flips over and undoes the back of her bathing suit so she's cooked evenly. Before we can make it very far, a middle aged woman complete with the Karen haircut comes over and starts to squawk, "You need to cover up! There are children here!"
My friend rolls over and keeps her bathing suit in place with an arm, and points at me with her free hand "I know. There's two right there. Don't let the size fool you, the big one's the less mature of the pair. What's your problem exactly?"
Karen puffs up a bit, "My son won't stop staring at you! You're... you're tempting him!"
Without missing a beat, my friend replies "Oh, really? Why don't you try telling someone who gives a fuck. You're in my light, this is a pool, I'm wearing a bathing suit. Have a fantastic day." and then rolls back over onto her front.
The Karen makes a gobbling sound, apparently at a loss for words, and stomps off with her fists clenched, presumably in search of a manager.
Me and the little one go off for the water slides, which I was secretly looking forward to. A man in his 30s going down a water slide by himself? Rather odd. Going down a slide with a four year old in front? Totally normal.
After about an hour of impersonating a fish, I look for my friend and see her standing up, looking around with a very concerned expression on her face. I pop the little one onto my shoulders and we go check in.
Apparently at some point my friend had managed to doze off despite the noise, and the big bag of stuff she brought in was missing, and she kind of needs it right now, her sugars feel off and she's dizzy.
I leave the little one with her mom and think for a moment, then I have a thought, and figure going over to the check in desk might be step one. An attendant looks up at me with a smile and asks how he can help. I explain the situation, that there's a big bag missing. Pretty standard beach fare bag, so he asks if I can identify anything inside.
"There should be two hot pink things that look like phones inside. One says Bad Bitch on it." The attendant covers his guffaw just barely, and then brings up my friend's bag. He explains that a woman brought the bag over, claiming the person whose bag it was kept on using the devices inside to take pictures of her and her offspring. The guy knows that we probably didn't do anything wrong, but he had no idea to whom the bag belonged and also didn't want to get into it with that woman. I couldn't blame him.
I take the bag back to my friend, and she starts digging through it. And then the digging becomes rifling, as things are rapidly ejected haphazardly from the bag. And then she looks up at me, "That BITCH." She says in a rather alarmingly cold tone.
I said something clever, sounded a lot like, "Huh?"
"ALL of the juice boxes and candy are gone and my sugars are hitting the floor. I'm going to kill her."
Today I Learned that irritability is an understatement as far as a low blood sugar symptom goes.
My friend stands up, scans the area, and sees something. She stalks over, and happens upon a rather smug and familiar looking woman laid up on a lounge chair, with a rather timid looking boy of about 12 in the next chair over. The Karen opens her mouth to say something, and manages to let out another squawking sound as my friend without any preamble or warning, grabs the woman's bag and dumps the whole thing on the ground.
The woman inelegantly falls off of her chair, frantically scrambling to collect all of her stuff while my friend bends over and picks up some candy wrappers and a single empty juice box. And then my friend says something in a tone that sends shivers down my spine when I think about it. "You stole my baby's medicine? And then ate it?"
There's always something alarming about something said in a tone that SOUNDS calm, but is not at all calm. Sensing imminent violence, I placed myself between myself and my friend and started shouting for help. A couple lifeguards ran over, one speaking into a walkie talkie urgently.
While all this is going on the Karen is frantically cramming her things back into her bag, oblivious to her surroundings. Finally she finishes, realizes what's going on, and immediately stands up and starts shooting her mouth off about indecency and rule breaking and if my friend didn't bring enough to share she shouldn't have brought any at all.
At this point, my friend shakes me off and thrusts the candy wrapper in her face. "Do you understand what this is FOR?! My child is DIABETIC. *I* am diabetic. Do you go around and steal shit from every girl here whose skinnier and prettier than you? Or just the ones who don't put up with your bullshit?"
At this point several other staff members have arrived and separated the parties. My friend is taken promptly over to the cafe for the first and to my knowledge only instance of free food being given out by the place. Once her sugars had leveled out she had to tell her side of the story to those who needed to know. I don't really know what happened to the Karen. I did ask, but the staff member I asked said they couldn't say.
We had to leave after that, as it's fairly important for diabetics to have sugar on hand, and neither of us really felt like paying 3.50$ for a glass of orange juice. Plus the mood was kind of ruined.
People these days. Ugh.

2023.06.07 00:03 LeagueofAbnormal Security rant on bikers!!! Literally ridiculous read an ask yourself have I done this! I hope this post at least changes one bikers mind.

Iโ€™m actually sick to death hearing about motorbikes being stolen and people saying: โ€œI put the steering lock onโ€ โ€œIt was kept in a garageโ€ โ€œI only popped in for a minuteโ€ โ€œI didnโ€™t hear anythingโ€
My Nan could pop a steering lock, itโ€™s not difficult or loud. Please buy a disc lock and a budget alarm at best. That will deter some thieves. Even the cheap alarm will have back up batteries and cause a problem. You can link them to your batter if you donโ€™t want to spend money or a garage can wire it to the ignition. Itโ€™s hard to stop the white van pulling up and throwing your pride and joy in the van if you donโ€™t have a chain and padlock attached to an anchor or lamp post, but it will at least stop the petty moped gangs. I have abus disc lock front that spins when you try to grind it, a cheap oxford rear disc lock, abus heavy duty padlock with 18mm thick chain with chain cover (want 22mm ideally does cost a lot more) around the rear wheel to a lamp post and another chain through the swing arm, plus a cover and cheap alarm plus Honda HISS immobiliser. If they are honestly going through that then Iโ€™m going to hear it. If you have a garage like I did and they got in for my dirt bikes I had 6 chains and padlocks which they couldnโ€™t get through. Happened to be the one night I was drunk and left the alarm off but took them two hours to get no where caught on cctv. Thatโ€™s another thing cctv just records it happening are you going to get a notification to wake you when the motion goes off on your ring cameraโ€ฆ probably not. Alarm your sheds, garages and bikes!! Lock your shit up and donโ€™t think out of site out of mind!!! People get followed and drummed at a later date. If itโ€™s in site lock that shit up!!! To something that canโ€™t be moved. 5 bikes in one week have gone in my area to stupid moped thieves. I donโ€™t care if you have ridden for years or just started out head the word always lock your motorbikes up!!!! Doesnโ€™t matter if you in the village, town or city same rules apply.
I do love my bikes but itโ€™s disheartening seeing all these bikes being stolen when they shouldnโ€™t be. Yes I would love to live in a country where I can leave my bike out side with no security, but unfortunately we donโ€™t. If anyone even attempts to say their quaint little village has zero crime donโ€™t bother reply you will get followed on a ride and your bike will get stolen from your garage door picked with a spam tin opener key, with your no chain anchored bike, with zero alarm.

The state of glaives- a guide and a lifestyle

INTRODUCTION

Nine months ago I posted a simple guide to glaives in celebration of my 1,000th kill on my Enigma and as a way of shining a light on a weapon class with a lot of potential. I know DFP and likely various other content creators have cracked 10K kills on their glaives, I was still particularly proud of my achievement as a largely casual player and I'm sure I'm still among the few who still use them. Nine months later and glaives have received numerous nerfs in both the Crucible and PvE, we've been showered with new glaives every season and we've even had two new archetypes of glaives introduced. Since then glaives have seemingly become even less popular in both usage rates and popular sentiment. With a new Trials glaive hot on the market and another 1,000 glaive kills under my belt, I figured now would be a good time for an updated guide to glaives. And perhaps we can decipher why they're so despised, how effective they are in the current sandbox and if they're worth your time.

PLAYSTYLE

In case you missed out on my previous guide I will briefly go over the general overview of how to play a glaive. Fortunately we have also gotten more insight as to Bungie's design philosophy regarding their newest special weapons. Bungie has described the glaive as fulfilling a "riot shield" type of fantasy. Already we have a partial answer as to the derision that glaives can cause. People generally seem to hate riot shields in first person shooters because they slow down the gameplay and can feel frustrating to fight against. Nobody likes feeling like they are not doing the damage they should be.
All three special ammo archetypes of glaives kill in two projectile hits at 10 resilience as well as three melee swings. I will caution you to mainly stick to shooting, rather than poking. A shame, I know. It's also important to note that a glaive projectile is not hitscan and instead has travel time that is influenced by the range stat of the glaive. This means that the projectiles landing can feel inconsistent at times.
So the gameplay loop of a glaive involves building shield energy through landing projectile hits. This shield gives you 50% damage reduction at the cost of slower movement. Playing around your shield is the goal of a glaive, not stabbing with it. Carrying this damage reduction into the next fight can be a powerful tool and catch enemies off gaurd. This however means that landing the first shot of the engagement is crucial to success and highly punishing if you miss. I recommend aerial playstyles and sneaky movements to get the first shot off. The skill ceiling of a glaive comes in it's game of resource management. Positioning, shield energy, ammo, and health all command your attention in combat.

ARCHETYPES, PERKS & ROLLS

We now have available to us 7 different legendary glaives. 5 Adaptive Frames, and one for each of the other two families. While every glaive has different perk pools which can change their value, some have a more obvious PvE focus. I will discuss each archetype and rolls to look for. Let's start with the OG:
ADAPTIVES-
The king here is quite new. The new Trials glaive- Unexpected Resurgance. It has the best stat package, will be able to take adept mods, has a pretty stellar perk selection, and has a useful origin trait to boot. Second place here will be The Enigma- the first glaive. It can roll the most desirable PvP perks and has great stats as well. Any other Adaptive glaive is inferior to these two for the sake of the Crucible.
Perk selection on glaives is fairly homogenous unfortunately. There isn't that much that helps them find success, so the few feasible perks are essentials. With both of these glaives I have to recommend Impulse Amplifier. The increase to velocity is a must-have for consistency. Landing that first shot for the shield is so important, anything to help secure projectile hits is too good to pass up. In the other column things are more up in the air. I'd recommend Unstoppable Force. The perk gives a 20% damage bonus when blocking damage with your shield, which comes up quite often. This perk can ocassionally lead to hilarious multikills. However, there are other notable perks. Joltshot could be fun, Vorpal is likely undervalued as glaives are surprisingly already pretty decent at knocking out supers, Swashbuckler sounds great but you may not find success when going out of your way to melee. Same goes for the perk Close To Melee.
Speaking of, if you're trying to conserve ammo, the Adaptive family can use one projectile followed by one melee to automatically kill any guardian with resilience 9 or lower. Also worth noting that each archetype shares the same melee damage at 68 per swing. The projectile damage for this archetype sits at 132 damage per shot.
RAPID-FIRE-
Currently there is one glaive in this family- the new dungeon glaive, Greasy Luck. As the name suggests, it shoots faster with lower damage output. Each projectile hits for only 106 damage. So it can secure a two projectile kill at any resilience, but just barely. Overshields and healing may hinder this glaive moreso than usual. However, getting those shots off faster is quite the boon. Honestly, I haven't played with Greasy Luck much. I plan to and if I learn anything unique about it besides the new archetype, I'll be sure to update this guide. As it sits, the best PvP roll is the same as the Adaptive family's top contenders- you're looking for Impulse Amplifier and Unstoppable Force. There's some good PvE play here too with other perk combinations. This glaive seems unable to kill higher resiliences in one projectile and a melee, so if you're lower on ammo, be prepared to swing two melees after your projectile lands.
AGGRESSIVE-
Judgement of Kelgorath is the only available Aggressive Frame glaive currently available. And I have to admit I think I undervalued it at first. I was disappointed that the premier glaive perks both sat in the last column and I felt the extra damage wasn't enough to make up for the slower fire rate. I'll say now that I was wrong and this glaive offers some explosive play and consistency that some glaives don't. Each shot lands for 147 damage. The archetype as a whole can secure the one projectile/one melee combo on any resilience. And while I first turned Judgement of Kelgorath into a PvE glaive with Demolitionist and Incandescent, I now plan on pivoting not into either Impulse Amplifier or even Unstoppable Force in the last slot, but to one of the highest damage buffs in the game- Surrounded. This allows Judgement of Kelgorath to kill a full health guardian in one projectile. The only glaive to be able to accomplish this. I know being surrounded by that many gaurdians in PvP may not be very common, but if you've ever gone on a kill streak with a glaive, you know they can be explosive playmakers and turn fights around. On a close range weapon, it just makes sense. Use your first shot to instantly kill one of your opponents and you now have shield energy with a hard hitting glaive for the next couple of guys.
Now, I haven't much discussed barrel, magazine, and masterwork options, and I'll say it's largely dependent on the weapon I generally like to go for shield energy, especially since I normally have Impulse Amplifier. Since we won't for Judgement of Kelgorath, you may be looking for a combo of shield energy and range to increase that projectile velocity. The first main trait slot is users preference but Shot Swap is there for handling, then several perks to help with the slow reload, and a couple to help your shield's viability like Immovable Object or Tilting at Windmills. The Ambush origin trait is excellent as well.
MOD SLOT-
Honestly I'd love to do more testing as to the efficacy of speccing into Airborne Effectiveness on a glaive, but currently I wouldn't recommend Icarus Grip. Faster handling can always be useful but I actually normally go with Radar Booster which I find surprisingly uncommon.

BUILDS

SUBCLASS & STATS-
Generally speaking I notice that glaives do best when paired with highly mobile builds that add in elements of healing or overshields. This automatically makes solar and void my favorite subclasses to pair with a glaive. Healing grenades on solar are fantastic and throwing one right at your feet when you're low and coming back out with full health and a your glaive shield up is highly potent. Then with void you can get overshields or devour going quite nicely. I'm sure arc hunter with blink and arc titan with a thruster are good alternatives, but they lack safety from healing. I stray away from Stasis and Strand with a glaive but I'm sure there are specific builds and exotics you can pair with any subclass to give them some glaive viability. Before we move on to specific exotic armor that pairs well with each class, I'll also recommend the chest piece mod Lucent Blade on any build to help the glaive with shield energy.
With a glaive build I lean into recovery with some resilience, while I treat both mobility and strength as dump stats to lower as close to 1 as possible. Mobility matters a little less (unless you're a hunter) and I'm being slowed down by the shield anyways. Strength is less valued because you cannot use your powered melee with a glaive equipped. Discipline and intellect can be adjusted freely for different builds.
TITAN-
Titans don't have many exotics that directly tie into a glaive playstyle, and the ones that do mostly buff the melee. Pretty useless in PvP. So, instead we look to any number of useful neutral game exotics. One Eyed Mask since you're blocking damage anyways, Anteus Wards to help guarantee the first shot for shield energy, Crest of Alpha Lupi for quick healing, ACD0 Feedback Fence to help out with anybody who gets too close, etc. The options are limitless, I'd be interested to hear any other ideas for a Titan's glaive build!
HUNTER-
Hunters have access to the only glaive specific exotic in the game- Triton Vice. Too bad it doesn't seem particularly great or useful. I'd actually rather go with Wormhusk or Bakris for conventional, everyday use. However, I will say that I could have fun pairing Triton Vice with the Hunter specific exotic glaive- Edge of Concurrence or an Incandescent or Volt Shot glaive for extra explosions, plus since you're encouraged to match the glaive and subclass element, you would be on arc with Edge of Concurrence so you could use blink as well. Unlikely to be overwhelmingly efficient though.
WARLOCK-
My main class. So I speak with the most experience here. Again, neutral game exotics are going to be most appealing, though it's hard at times to reject the allure of posion melees with Necrotic Grips... but no. I recommend going with Transversives with any subclass because the sprint speed to close the distance or run with a close range weapon is valuable, and the auto reload actually saves my skin constantly believe it or not. Alternatively, Wings of Sacred dawn for extra damage reduction and to throw off your enemies with aerial play is surprisingly good, hilarious fun. Lastly, Astrocyte Verse blink with a devour focused build is absolutely nuts at times and I need to use it more as I have a hard time leaving solar and icarus dash alone.
WEAPONS PIARINGS-
While glaives are fairly versatile and can reach out and touch mid range, I wouldn't highly recommend rocking anything too close range. SMGs and Sidearms are largely off the table (though you can make it work, a lot of SMGs also touch mid range anyways). Instead bows and scouts offer some appeal but the main draw here is hand cannons and pulse rules. If we're talking straight up usefulness, it'd be hard to ignore how good High-Impact pulses specifically are. No Time To Explain, The Messenger and numerous others will serve you well. Lately I've personally been trying out Randy's Throwing Knife and it's been a blast. Most good glaives also don't take up the exotic slot, so the world of exotic primaries is open to you. I personally also scored hundreds of kills with Lumina while using my glaive, and the damage bonus is substantial.

EXOTIC GLAIVES

We now have access to 5 exotic glaives. Three class specific glaives, Vexcalibur and the heavy slot glaive- Winterbite. We will briefly review them.
EDGE OF ACTION-
The Titan exotic glaive. Functioning as a normal glaive, the unique function is exchanging a fully charged glaive shield into a mini-Ward of Dawn. While absolutely hilarious and amazing, it's pretty bad.
Though it has some PvE utility since it works with Helm of Saint 14 now, it isn't useful in PvP. And I'll just go ahead and say that all three of the exotic glaives are pretty bad and it's mostly because the trigger to the unique function of each is full glaive shield energy. Not only does this mean that you must land at least 4 shots to fully charge your shield, but it also means that you cannot even use your shield energy because you're so busy consuming it for the special function. I'm sorry, but I'd rather use my entire shield to fight than to pop a small and short lived Ward of Dawn.
EDGE OF CONCURRENCE-
This might be the best class exotic glaive for PvP (which isn't saying much at all). This one at least offers an interesting choice between your defensive natured shield energy and your offensive natured exotic ability to shoot a tracking bolt of lightning at someone. I could see this one making some fun clips with limited utility, but let's be honest, if you can make this glaive work then you could make most legendary glaives work better.
EDGE OF INTENT-
I want to love this glaive so bad. I use Lumina and Boots of the Assembler so much, so the idea of using a healing glaive is so appealing. But it's just not good. In fact, it's downright terrible. In exchange for full glaive shield energy you can deploy a healing turret that shoots allies. Even with it's buff, I've never seen it used. Not in PvE and especially not in the Crucible. This might be the worst glaive in the game.
VEXCALIBUR-
What a fun, unique exotic. I have limited use with it in PvP and I must say I like normal glaives better just for the added range and longer glaive shield, but I could see some potential here. The Vexcalibur shoots 5 pellets like a shotgun with limited range. Each pellet does 29 damage for a total of 145 damage if they all land. The shield is then also quick to drain, but grants an overshield instead. Melee kills refresh and extend your void overshield. This could have potential with void specific builds. All in all this is more of a PvE weapon, but I will be keeping my eye on it and upgrade it further soon to see it's full potential. If all pellets land the Vexcalibur can indeed pull off the one shot/one melee combo against any resilience.
WINTERBITE-
The first heavy glaive. So I actually had no idea as to how this thing worked in PvP until I started doing testing for this write-up. Turns out it seems pretty fun and surprisingly potent. So without any ammo the Winterbite actually still retains the standard 68 melee damage per swing. Not insanely useful but it's already doing more than any other heavy weapon without ammo. With ammo, the exotic perk gives it added melee damage which allows it to kill in two melees instead of three with each swing doing 101 damage. Each heavy brick give only one ammo (like a rocket launcher). This projectile is better than I thought it'd be. It's a little slow but seems to find it's target well enough and does a whopping 381 damage. I'm unironically going to rock this glaive more in PvP.

THE META

My last guide had an entire section dedicated to glaive counters. Glaives have been hit with repeated nerfs in PvE and PvP since then. So instead of only talking about specific counters, I figured I could wrap things up by talking about the history of glaives and their place in the meta as a whole. As far as counters go, I don't feel the need to point many out specifically because you don't need anything specific to counter a glaive. Even with 50% damage reduction, in all likelihood you will kill any glaive used with your special weapons or plinking away with a primary. When glaives dropped with Witch Queen, glaive shields carried a hefty 75% damage reduction. While still not topping usage charts, they were actually very potent in this state. They were kept at bay by the underwhelming ammo economy. You would only gain one ammo back per special brick. Given that it takes two shots to down a guardian, this annoyed players and steered them away. However, with the starting ammo reserves of around 4 shots, I actually found this to be the healthiest glaive meta. They were absolutely explosive playmakers that could wipe out entire teams, but you had to be very careful with your ammo. And this is a point I need to iterate that I believe many fail to consider: half the ammo means half glaive shield buildup. Not only does more ammo mean more potential kills, but it's also double the glaive shield buildup and it's far less punishing to miss a shot. This also made the one projectile/one melee combo to be "canon" and legitimately useful when low on ammo, truly leaning into the hybrid firearm/melee fantasy.
When they doubled the amount of ammo received per brick to 2 and the community was starting to really talk about damage reduction in PvP more, Bungie got scared and nerfed glaives several times before usage rates even got high. Now, I will admit, glaives were very powerful when they first changed the ammo economy. But the nerfs we received were numerous. Ignoring the many PvE nerfs, they still nerfed projectile damage, Unstoppable Force's damage bonus and of course reduced the 75% damage reduction from the shield to 50%. One or two of these changes were warranted. But all of them combined lowered the utility to nothing. Glaives are not good in the current meta. I find some success with them, but it's through building into them, practice, and doing everything I can to trick and outsmart my opponents. I play on console. I've done some PC lobbies and can also guarantee that it's even more difficult to make work against opponents on mouse and keyboard. I've seen reaction times that kill me in the time between my projectile landing and my glaive shield coming up. And special weapons just chew through the shields regardless.
My thoughts on buffing glaives in the Crucible would be either reverting many changes including the ammo economy changes. Higher damage reduction with special ammo bricks only giving one shot. Alternatively, if they're going to do less damage, with less damage reduction then other aspects of the glaives should be changed. Perhaps faster strafe speed at base to move easier from cover to cover. Perhaps a base velocity or range buff for all glaives or even converting them into hitscan weapons. Perhaps more melee damage. It's Bungie's world and we just live in it. Speaking of, where's my stasis glaive with chill clip, BUNGO?!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Glaives offer one of the most unique and involved playstyles in Destiny 2. While not the most effective in the Crucible, they have a high-skill ceiling that can be fun to climb. They draw the ire of many in the first person shooter genre and will guarantee twice as many hate messages and t-bags. Despite it all, they stay glued to my inventory and are my favorite weapon class. I hope that this write-up made you consider taking a glaive for a spin for one or two matches and maybe even changed some hearts and minds. If any information I provided is inaccurate or you have counterpoints, I welcome discourse. I don't often do stuff like this but I noticed a distinct lack of glaive information out there and wanted to bring some attention to the weapon type I most wanted to master. I'd love to hear or see your favorite glaive moments and plays. Build ideas, weapon pairings, and perk combos I didn't mention are all welcome. Thank you so much for reading and I hope to cross paths or cross glaives. - Lupus_Bellator

2023.06.06 23:30 ProfessionalEstate27 In the middle of the world's depravity, Christ is my rock

Christ is compared metaphorically to many things in the Bible. He is the Lion and the Lamb. He is the Good Shepherd and the True Vine. He is the Light of the world and the Bread of Life. There are many more, but in this post, I want to focus on Christ as our rock and sure foundation. It can be easy to get swept up in the ways of the world; the pleasures of sin often seem so fulfilling, though the opposite is true, and the end of sin is destruction. However, the excessive sin of the world is exhausting, it seems there is no place to hide from the proud display of sin from humanity, and yet "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold" (Psalm 18:2, NKJV).
Christ is our rock, first of all, in that he is our firm foundation and rock of salvation. In Christ alone, can we be assured that we have salvation. That we have been saved and rescued from our sinful selves, and out of this sinful world. This world is not our home anymore, Christ has a place prepared for us. Yet, while we are here, we will abide in him, and let our lives testify of the rock in whom we live, and who is our foundation. We will call out to the world, and invite them, just as he does, to the salvation that is in Christ alone.
"Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, 'Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame'" (1 Peter 2:6).
"Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved" (Psalm 62:1-2).
"As it is written: 'Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame'" (Romans 9:33).
Secondly, Christ is the foundation upon which his church is built. Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23), but he is also the foundation of the church. The church is nothing apart from Christ, and we ought not to be wavering, carried about with different doctrines (Hebrews 13:8-9), but instead, firm in Jesus Christ. We ought not to be taken up in the vain teachings of the world (Colossians 2:8-10). We certainly cannot be carried away with the sin of the world, nor can we have any friendship with the world; we are set apart as a holy people, who boast with the apostle, only in the cross of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:2, 1 John 2:15-17, James 4:4, Ephesians 5:11, Colossians 3:1-2, 2 Corinthians 6:17, Galatians 6:14). Christ is our sure foundation, and we must live, built on that firm foundation.
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 3:11).
"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone" (Ephesians 2:19-20).
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall (Matthew 7: 24-27).
Thirdly, it is Christ upon whom we can always depend. Friends and family in this world may come and go, but Christ never changes (Hebrews 13:8), and he is always there when you need him (Hebrews 13:5-6). I'm sure we all have found ourselves in situations that are beyond our control, and while we cannot do anything, we can lean on that Rock of our salvation, Jesus Christ. He is always there, he never changes, he is that firm foundation. Not only that, he loves us (1 John 4:9-10). If you need something, ask in his name and he will give it (John 14:13-14). In your trials and tribulations, he is there for you ( Isaiah 43:2, Hebrews 4:15-16). My brothers and sisters in Christ, lean on the Rock of our salvation.
"He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah" (Psalm 62:6-8).
"I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me,and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps" (Psalm 40:1-2).
"The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold" (Psalm 18:2
Fourthly, Christ is from whom we have life. Now, I mean this spiritually. I could explain this physically, because that also is true, that we live because we are upheld by God, but I wish to take this spiritually. We were dead in our sins, but in Christ, we have life (Ephesians 2:1-5, 1 John 5:11-12). Not only are we raised from the dead to new life in Christ, but we also may have life, and life more abundantly (John 10:10). Just as God gave the Israelites water from the rock in the desert (Exodus 17:4-7), so in Christ, we drink of that living water (1 Corinthians 10:4, John 4:10, Revelation 21:6). That living water is free and offered to all (Isaiah 55:1). Not only that, if we are in Christ, out of each and every one of us will flow living water (John 7: 37-38). We are called to have that living water flowing out of us, that we may lead others and disciple others to also drink from the fountain of life which is Christ. That there may be many of us rooted in that only foundation Jesus Christ.
"Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ" (1 Corinthians 10:1-4)
"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving" (Colossians 2:6-7).
"Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 2:4-5)
I could make some more points as well, about Christ, the anchor of our souls. Christ, who transforms us to be conformed to his image. There is so much here, but I'll leave it with this: when all feels lost in this world of sin, you can call out with the psalmist "Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (Psalm 61: 1-2). The world will never satisfy us, but Christ will. There is nothing firm, nothing sure in the world, but Christ is our firm foundation and the Rock of our salvation. He is everything you need, lean on Him.

2023.06.06 23:12 danktank_sublime How To Enjoy Marvel Snap

I posted this as a long comment in a big thread, but thought it might resonate with a wider audience....

I really, really enjoy Marvel Snap. It's the first mobile game I've ever played consistently. I am pretty shocked by the overall tenor of players on Reddit. Every announcement and update seems to be their "last straw" for their bad experiences with the game. I know, I know... vocal minority, but some of you REALLY seem to not have a good experience with the game? I find it puzzling. So want to share my experience, which is overwhelmingly positive, and maybe we can see what our similarities and differences are?

Here's How I Enjoy Marvel Snap:

I started playing during the Black Panther season, and I play only on mobile. I spend $10/mo on the Season Pass because I like the additional rewards. I chose to start buying the season pass in Silver Surfer season because I was playing daily so it really felt like the exchange was worthwhile. That said, I do not spend any additional money to get more gold or tokens or any special variant packages or whatever. I just slowly accumulate gold through gameplay to purchase cool variants when I get enough.
I am CL4700, and Series 3 complete. I probably play on average 30 matches a day, I'm guessing?Maybe more some days if all we are doing is laying around with our phones out or I have a long commute that day?
All cards acquired since I began playing were through opening Collector's Reserve boxes as I climb through the CL. I don't save the Reserves for specific updates or new seasons, I open everything as I go, and my primary focus is collecting credits by completing my dailies and upgrading cards to increase CL and open more reserves. I am indifferent to upgrading my cards for specific borders or trying to get splits, I actually usually stop at Legendary or Ultra for most cards and focus on upgrading new cards and variants. I am focused entirely on upgrading cards not for aesthetic reasons, but to increase my collection level and open more reserve boxes.
I initially spent gold on buying new missions when I first started playing, because I wanted to move up the CL faster and get the chance to pull a new card, but the past few seasons I've reached enough cards to save gold for variants.
I've never spent actual money on to get to a card (outside of my monthly subscription). Cards I am missing are High Evo, Howard, Iron Lad, Kang, Negasonic, Shanna, Stegron, Thanos, Living Tribunal.
I didn't really "get" the tokens aspect when they first rolled it out so I used my first tokens on some dumb series 3/4 cards, but have since used tokens, once accumulated, on Wong, Galactus, and just yesterday I finally got to 6000 and grabbed Jeff.
I have never made it to Infinite. I always get to at least 60 and I've made 90 once. I am not disciplined on snapping and retreating, I pretty much always play out the hand unless I'm for sure gonna lose badly, so I swing wildly from 50s to 80s week after week. I don't care about infinite and it's never a goal for me. I treat 60 as Infinite, and get my variant, and throughout my climb I just play different decks that I'm in the mood for. Or if I see a cool deck I want to try or iterate on. Or make new decks to fit the hot location.
I am assuming that the quiet majority who enjoy this game play like me?
I have no complaints about my 10 bucks a month...it feels totally worth it for the amount of time I find myself picking up my phone and playing the game. I only vaguely pay attention to series drops and I don't really understand why others do except for perhaps because of FOMO about missing cards? I don't pay attention to the buffs or nerfs, and usually don't even notice them until I go to play a card and something has changed. The accumulation of cards doesn't feel slow to me, but perhaps because I play so casually?

I don't know if this way of playing is translatable for those of you who are unhappy with how the game is managed, but I hope this is a helpful blueprint to make your experience with Snap more enjoyable.

2023.06.06 23:07 Gotsmeez Realistic Big Board for Draft Night

I've consumed a shit ton of draft content over the past month or so. These are the guys I think we should target and stay away from.
Targets
  1. Brice Sensabaugh
My preference if he falls. Three level scorer who can make up for some of the scoring we need and take a ton of pressure off of Lebron. With AD anchoring, you can deal with some of of his defensive problems. I think he will be a 17+ ppg scorer out of the gate. Also fits the post Lebron timeline.
  1. Cason Wallace
Unlikely to fall, but gives us that ball pressure we missed losing Caruso and KCP. Seems like a perfect pairing with AR in the backcourt.
  1. Kobe Bufkin
Donโ€™t love his ceiling, but a high efficiency guard with defensive potential is always valuable in todayโ€™s NBA.
  1. Jordan Hawkins
Not a big fan of drafting to fit with Lebron at this point, but you canโ€™t deny what he would add to this team as a movement shooter.
  1. Jalen Hood Schafino
Wasn't utilized properly at Indiana and has much higher upside than a lot of the guys in this range. Donโ€™t think he would get enough run early, but could be an amazing long term investment.

Other guys I'd be okay with: Kris Murray, Jett Howard, Keyonte George

Avoid
  1. Leonard Miller
Not high on him as a top 25 prospect. Doesnโ€™t pass the eye test and I just donโ€™t really value motor that much as a skill. Doesnโ€™t space the floor and canโ€™t envision him being much more than a solid role player at best.
  1. Derrick Lively
Rookie big men typically take a while to develop and his offensive upside is just too low. Doesnโ€™t fit either timeline for me. Showed shooting potential, but nothing in game that would prove it's something he can rely on in the future.
  1. Nick Smith
Interesting scoring guard, but hasnโ€™t proven enough to show he can be a go to scorer in the NBA. Definitely think he has the potential based on his high school game, but just too much of a wildcard to make the investment.

Other guys I would avoid: Noah Clowney, GG Jackson
